Cherry Chocolate Nut Cookies

You know, I honestly thought that I would be the perfect little blogger and give you one cookie recipe a day last week. That's what I get for using the word "perfect," I guess.
Needless to say, I still had to make cookies because Mr. C's Christmas party was yesterday! I ended up giving him 5 different kinds of cookies. Lucky guy!

This one kind of took me by surprise because it has nuts in it. I have a sincere hatred for them (in any form) in desserts. Unless we're talking pecan pie. Then I'm all for it. But I liked the ring that the name had, and I know that every other human being on the stinkin' Lincoln planet likes pecans in their cookies. (Unless you have an allergy.)

So, I set out the make them.

They're SO easy to make! The most time-consuming part was chopping the maraschino cherries (which also resulted in a red finger and thumb) and pecans.

And you know what??? I tried one...and I liked it! So I absolutely know, without a shadow of a doubt, that you will like them too! So make 'em for Christmas Eve...or today!

Happy eating,
~HB~
